The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has suspended players who have rejected an invitation to turn up for the Reggae Girlz’s Gold Cup qualification games against Panama and Guatemala next week.

In a release a few minutes ago, the JFF indicated that it was uncomfortable with not just the decision of the players as a group, but also with the non-attendance of the player representatives to a scheduled meeting earlier today.

According to the JFF release, the players have concerns with the contracts for the Gold Cup qualification but that they should be discussed at the negotiating table.

There has been no duration given for the suspensions or the particular players the JFF has called ‘as a group’, the release saying it would last until the ‘issues’ are resolved.
