BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):

Barbados all-rounder Kevin Stoute and Leeward Islands leg-spinner Anthony Martin have been called up to the West Indies 'A' team for the one-day phase of the current tour of England.

The West Indies Cricket Board named the duo yesterday in a 14-man squad for the upcoming tour of Ireland and the Tri-Nation Limited Overs series involving England 'A' and India 'A', starting later this month.

Stoute and Martin will replace Trinidadian batsman Justin Guillen and Jamaican leg-spinner Odean Brown, currently involved in the 'Test' series against India 'A'.

The 24-year-old Stoute, a stylish right-hander who bowls strong medium pace, has been a fixture in the Barbados squad following his first-class debut three years ago.

Martin, meanwhile, snatched 21 wickets earlier this year in the regional four-day championship and has already made 23 first-class appearances.

West Indies senior team all-rounder, Kieron Pollard, had been named to join the squad for the one-day phase of the tour but opted to play for English county Somerset.

Windies 'A' will play two one-dayers against Ireland next week before competing in the Tri-Nation series from June 28 to July 8.
