Who they have met
We continue our fortnightly feature about some well-known Jamaicans and some of the interesting internationally famous personalities they have met.
Eldon Bremner, general manager for The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, has been privileged to meet a plethora of guests who have visited the hotel over the years.
Guests have ranged from regional heads of countries (he has met most), world leaders, sports personalities and actors, too many to name and some who do not readily come to mind.
The most exciting meeting for the Guyana native would have been Jamaican and West Indies cricketer Lawrence Rowe.
"That was a big deal for me," he said. Meeting other cricket icons Rohan Khanai, Wes Hall and Brian Lara were also high points.
The three persons he regrets not meeting are Nelson Mandela, Pope John Paul II and Fidel Castro. He missed out because he was off the island at the time of their visit.
Here is just a taste of those who have entered the doors of the popular New Kingston landmark.
If you or anyone you know have met at least 10 internationally famous people, send us the details: lifestyle@gleanerjm.com
