Johnnie Walker Polo Champs today at Caymanas Club

While Spain and Netherlands battle for world football supremacy today, the Johnnie Walker Polo Players Championship will crown its own heroes at the Caymanas Polo Club.
The World Cup Final between Spain and the Netherlands, also scheduled for this today, will precede the championship finals. The match will be shown on big screens in the Club House starting at 1:30 p.m.
This year, the championship is highly contested and will feature five teams competing for top honours at the end of the Jamaica Polo Association (JPA) season.

The Players Championship was inaugurated in 2007 and has now become a popular event on the JPA calendar. It encourages major participation of local members, with a mixture of foreign professionals to increase the number of higher handicap tournaments available for club members during the season.
Last year's competition was cancelled due to inclement weather. It has now returned in 2010 with the premium Scotch whiskey brand Johnnie Walker coming on board as the title sponsor.
