The guest list read like a who's who from the Atlanta social scene and included Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed, Devyne Stephens, manager, multi-plantinum recording artiste, Akon, and Phalon Alexander (Jazze Pha), producer for R&B singer Ciara.
This was the star-studded line-up that Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Olivia 'Babsy' Grange, hosted at the exclusive poolside pre-wedding party in honour of Jamaican registered nurse Marsha Chin and her new husband, Atlanta television producer Ryan Glover, at the Iberostar Grand resort in Montego Bay last week Friday night.
The couple tied the knot the very next day at the Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall Resort.
In attendance at this fabulous affair were Jamaican Peter Thomas of Peter Thomas Entertainment, and his supermodel wife, actress Cynthia Bailey, who makes her first appearance in the Housewives of Atlanta this fall.
With no less than 70 guests in attendance, Grange invited reggae singer 'Abijah' and 'DJ Kyarat' to entertain the group that received the best of Jamaican hospitality.
Fantastic relationship
"Jamaica and Atlanta have always had a fantastic relationship," said Grange, "and we are hoping to cement these bonds with movers and shakers from our island's close neighbours - the United States."
While the minister wined and dined her guests, the 'Fresh Prince of Belair', actor, rapper, producer, Will Smith, was also in town for his friend's wedding, held on the lawns of the beautiful Half Moon.
Montego Bay now claims status as the adult-party capital of Jamaica and tonight another page opens with, 'The Weekend' - an activity-packed two days at Iberostar, The Palmyra and the Rose Hall Great House.
