Bikini Showcase heats up Studio 38

Summer in the city became even hotter when the newest slew of model hopefuls stomped the ground at Studio 38 last Saturday night.

A huge crowd came to see and support the big dreams, and big potential of the contestants in the 2010 edition of the Pulse Caribbean Model Search. This time, however, there was an added bonus, as spectators not only got to see the contestants in sizzling swimwear from The Mushroom, they were also witness to some of the competitors' talent.

Dj Venom brought a summer party vibe to the proceedings and kept the crowd moving to the infectious beats of the sizzling season. Contestants were seen dancing between sets and brought that energy and attitude to the runway. The audience appreciated every minute of it.

Contestants were presented in the Petite Jamaica Fashion Model, Full Figured Fashion Model, Male Face of Jamaica, and the Jamaica Fashion Model categories.

Charmed the audience

During the proceedings, there were hit tracks from international recording artiste Shontelle who will be performing at the final show of the Pulse Model Search on Sunday, September 5. Shontelle's billboard smashing singles T-shirt and Impossible from her debut album Shontelligence had contestants and audience alike testing their vocal skills.

However, when Fashion Model contestant, Cristal Whyte took to the stage, all eyes were on her. Cristal charmed the audience with her heartfelt rendition of Shania Twain's I Ain't Going Down. The song suited Whyte's lilting voice and understated style and the crowd responded appreciatively. Next up was Sashalee Wilson, Petite Fashion Model hopeful, who pumped the crowd up with her original dubs Hot Gyal Sitin and Mama Alone. She proved that girls could be both sexy and gutsy.

The Male Face contestants then arrived to set the ladies' heart ablaze. All clad in swim trucks by The Mushroom, the gentlemen were not afraid to make the most of their assets and put on a real show for their admirers. The fashion model hopefuls then presented themselves. The next instalment of the model search bikini presentation will be held on August 21 and 28.
