The original Portmore Dog Show has been kept alive and well for the last five years. The event, will be held at the Portmore Town Centre.
Executives of Goode Promotions said the event will be bigger and better this year.
"There will be guest judges from the Razor's Kennel out of Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America. That should lift the standard of the competition," Maurice Goode, chief executive officer of Goode Promotions said.
Obedience, the ability to detect, best-dressed dog and modelling competitions are down for the dogs.
Family fun day
"We plan to have a dog show and family fun day this year. The grounds will be transformed into a fun park. There will be slides, bounce-a-bout and trampoline for the kids," Karice Southe, a member of Goode's team, said.
The event is set for December 12 but, for the first time, the promoters, are trying to make a splash of it by informing the public much earlier than usual.
