FRIENDCAM: Jo-Ann and Antuan keep connected
Kemesha Parkins, Gleaner Writer
Customer service agents Jo-Ann Madden and Antuan Frith, both in their 20s, give their views on technology and relationships.
What is your favourite social network and why?
Jo-Ann: Facebook. It helps me to keep in touch with people I haven't seen in a long time.
Antuan: Facebook, because I'm able to keep up with my friends and family.
How would you react if you found nude pictures of your partner circulating on the Internet?
Jo-Ann: I would be shocked, but I would check with him to find out why it is so.
Antuan: Well, I would confront her about it and see what she has to say. If it is that she can't get rid of them, I guess I would have to live with it; depending on how I feel about the girl.
Would you find it distrusting if your partner had a private code, locking their phone or computer ? Why?
Jo-Ann: No! Everybody deserves some privacy.
Antuan: No! If I'm with a girl, then I trust her enough to know that nothing is happening.
What's your opinion on women who favour casual sex?
Jo-Ann: I just think of it as a phase that they go through, so I don't think of them as any worse than someone who doesn't favour casual sex.
Antuan: I have no respect for them! To me, they have no respect for themselves.
Would you commit yourself to someone who is already in a relationship, yet is cheating with you? Why?
Jo-Ann: No! If he cheats with me, then he'll cheat on me. Plus, I believe I deserve a man of my own. I'm not willing to share.
Antuan: No! I don't like to know I'm sharing anyone. I'm a very selfish person when it comes to certain things and I don't want my girl to be sharing certain things with another man.
