This evening, Royalta Productions will be showcasing their latest production, an inspirational play titled Yet Will I Trust.
The play will be held at the Clifton New Testament Church of God, 52 Mannings Hill Road.
The themes of faith, love, adultery, suicide, mistrust and salvation are all to be brought out by several young church members who will be featured as the main characters.
Kitwanna LaBeach, LaTania Hall, Anarie Blair, Brian Daley and Carlton Vassell all depict several different scenarios throughout the play.
Almarie Taylor, writer, director and producer of the play, said, like all her other productions which are based on history and culture, she hopes this one will give viewers a chance to evaluate their lives.
"It's not just a gospel play, but it also teaches about reality. The topics brought out in the play are found everywhere in life. It deals with persons who are in situations that they should not be in and shows them what's happening. It's sort of like a mirror of reality," said Taylor.
The playwright of 14 years has her own company, Royalta Productions, and has written, directed and produced many plays. Among these are The Life of Ella Fitzgerald, Gimme Back My Son, Males Secret, Choose You This Day and To Kenya With Love.
Taylor is inviting all to come out and enjoy the play, as she promises a wonderful first-class production can be expected.
She said, "We produce nothing short of excellence, so all should come and enjoy it because I know that the play will be loved and well received.
