Making a house call at Studio 38, New Kingston, late Thursday night, The Doctor was a knight in shining armour to many patrons who witnessed his performance.

Upon entry to the stage, he disrupted the healthy lyme patrons who were enjoying a laid-back vibe and rocking to the music.

Before Beenie Man's performance, the chit-chatter buzz of excited patrons could be heard as friends chatted amongst themselves while rocking to the selections from the disc jockey.

Hip hop songs such as So Sick, Daddy's Home, Your Love, Find Your Love and Rude Boy were received with much enthusiasm by the women, as most sang along to some of their favourites.

Two female patrons in particular, took centre stage as they stood and danced the night away, right at the very front of the crowd. They were unperturbed by the onlooking eyes fixed on them and seemed to have not a care in this world.

"Wake the town and tell the people!" followed by the deep base pounding from the speakers, introduced No No No, which was then succeeded by a string of reggae hits such as Mr Lova Man and Twice My Age.

Dancehall was not left out of the mix as Beyoncé Wine, Dumpa Truck and a host of other songs for the ladies were played by Arif Cooper.

When The Doctor hit the stage at approximately 1 a.m., with his trademark, "Zaga zaga zow now now," screams spread throughout the crowd like fire through a forest.

He then dedicated the performance to the "great Buju Banton."

Decked in clothes boasting different shades of blue, a white hat and white tie, The Doctor delved deep into his musical catalogue, singing several of his early hits. Each selection was wonderfully received.

Informing the crowd that "tonight will be a different performance", he went straight into his almost one-hour-long performance.

He drew first blood with Tell Me Wah Yuh Want, before declaring, "If yuh fed up with yuh boyfriend let him go!"

Throughout his entire performance, the usual onstage antics seen from Beenie Man seemed to have been revised and upgraded, as he made the rounds through sexual positions entertaining the crowd with Zim Zimma, Dancehall Queen, Memories, Old Dawg, Nuff Gal, Wickedest Slam, Hum Hum, King Of The Dancehall, among others.

Clap

"Anybody that want to see 2011, let me see your hands in the air. From yuh want to see 2011, get up off your (bottom)!" he shouted.

The rhythm of I Got A Feeling by Black Eyed Peas then blared from the speakers with Beenie Man singing the popular pop song.

"For all the people who love and support Beenie Man throughout the years, can you do do something for me please?" he asked.

He then raised his hands above his head and began to clap in an effort to instruct the crowd. Obedient as pre-school children, they raised hands and clapped with him until he finished singing Samfi.

Recent songs such as Eva Clean, Woman A Call Mi, Out And Clean and Nuh Stress Me Out, were also included in his set.

He closed with I'm OK and, after leaving the stage, he had to return for an encore at the request of the female-dominated crowd.

He sang Heart Attack then left again, leaving patrons satisfied after a night well spent.
