Claro Clarendon FA 2011 Major League launched

The Claro Clarendon Football Association (CFA) Major League Football 2011 season, with co-sponsorship by The Captain's Bakery, was launched last Friday at the Jamalco Sports Club in Halse Hall, Clarendon.

Andrew Balbour, events and promotions manager at Claro, hailed the partnership dubbing it a strategic one with the purpose of developing football and reigniting enthusiasm for the sport in the parish.

"'Claro is pleased to sponsor the Clarendon Football Association and we are truly enthused about the partnership with The Captain's Bakery for the Claro Clarendon Football Association Major League 2011 season. We are very happy to be a part of what we consider to be a revolution - a fantastic football revolution that will awaken that enthusiastic spirit among Jamaicans for football," Balbour said.

Financial controller, at Captain's Bakery, Wayne Soltau, expressed mutual enthusiasm and believes that with this partnership the CFA will become more successful and benefit more young people in the parish.

Claro has sponsored the CFA in the sum of $27 million over the period 2010-2015, they are the title sponsors of Divisions One and Two, the parish knock-out com-petition and the senior, Under-19, summer, business house and women's leagues, as well as the Under-13 and Under-15 youth programmes.
