WESTERN BUREAU: ATI's Alex Chin and Coast and Land's Harold 'Harry' Williams celebrated their birthday in fine style in a small intimate gathering of good friends on Saturday, January 29 at Williams' home in Montego Bay.
The two friends started celebrating birthdays together when Williams moved to the Second City two years ago. It has become customary for both to personally cook for their guests, and this event was no different. The two racked up a menu of grilled steak, chicken and jerked pork and a wildly popular peppered shrimp, while their Trinidadian wives, 'Best Female Friends' (BFFs) Flow's Denise Williams and MACO's Nazma Chin, entertained their close friends. Williams' brother Anthony Grannum unveiled his special frozen cappuccino with a mixture of alcohol called Congo Juice, a secret recipe that was a hit with guests.
Held in the midst of the annual Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, Chin and Williams filled the void for persons hungry to find some form of excitement during the day when the event breaks. The two share a love for hosting parties and have put on several joint ventures, including collaborations at the now famous ATI Negril series of parties. Chin also hosts Stages, Luau and Destination parties while Williams was a major player in the Jokers Wild Carnival series. The two also share a serious business side as the they are directors of their own family businesses. Chin hold the reins as managing director of Chin's Construction and Williams director of operations at Coast and Land Construction.
Guests at the soirée included Stephen and Linda Deere, KPMG's Karen Burgess, Matahari's Jason Shelton, First Global's Maureen Hayden Cato and her husband Michael, David McBean, Eddie Azan and the lovely Christine Gourzong, Pier One's Jason Russell, Dr Patrice Monthrope and his wife Damia Dawes, Supreme Outdoor's Mark Carter, and Carerras CEO Richard Pandohie and his wife Nicole.
