Reggae artiste Fyakin has now found a medium to reach the minds of the youth, something that he has been searching for ever since he entered the music industry. He is among the additions to this year's RE TV High School Tour which is to begin on Tuesday.
The artiste, known for his hit song You Are My Lady on the Cloud Nine rhythm, is extremely happy about his involvement in the tour.
This will mark his first time and an excited Fyakin said, "I'm expecting my younger fans to get to hear more of my music. It's all about promoting the theme that dem a deal wid and promoting some good songs and messages to the children".
He plans to keep his musical content clean throughout the tour period, making sure that his words are free of derogatory lyrics or meanings.
"I'll be aiming to educate them about sex and the problems that can come with it, educating them about life in general, yuh know. It's just straight upliftment through the music," he said.
He is anticipating that his latest song, Green Satin Sheets, with Bunny Wailer's daughter Cen'C Love will be loved by reggae listeners all over the world as he said the song's message and lyrics are captivating and entertaining.
"It's a love song that's basically talking about two persons in love but they're far apart and they can't wait to see each other," he said.
In the song Cen'C Love sings to him and Fyakin replies, 'Rest yuh head on my pillow my girl/ Anything a mine a fi yuh my girl'.
Among his other songs include the popular Make Sweet Love and Me She Want, Paradise, Love and Lock Me Down (a collaboration with Stacious).
Fyakin is working in the studio preparing songs for his upcoming album. He made an appearance at yesterday's Follow Di Arrow stage show at James Bond Beach, Oracabessa, St Mary and has performed on most of the major stage shows in Jamaica including Sting 2009, Rebel Salute 2009, East Fest, Summer Sizzle, Dancehall Jam Jam, Fully Loaded and GT Taylor's Xtravaganza.
