Jamaica versus England at Caymanas Estates

International polo returns to Caymanas Estates today with Jamaica opposing England starting at 3 p.m.
The tournament, which also includes the visiting Newport team from Rhode Island on the east coast of the United States, will be played over several days this week, culminating next Sunday.
It will continue on Thursday with Jamaica versus the Newport team at Chukka Blue in Hanover; Jamaica versus the English team at the Kingston Polo Club, Caymanas Estates on Friday; Jamaica versus Newport on Saturday at the St Ann Polo Club, Drax Hall; and Jamaica versus England next Sunday at the Kingston Polo Club.
Jamaica and England will play for the John Tinsley Silver Salver, while the hosts and the Newport team will vie for the Newport Bowl.
Each year, Jamaica and the Newport team play each other twice, home and away. Jamaica will journey to Rhode Island in August for the return match.
The Jamaica team comprises Paul Lalor (captain), Mark Melville, Jonathan Dougall, and Rachel Turner.
Members of the English team are Tim Bown (captain), Roy Thisk, Tristen Pemble, and Paul Knight.
