Voicemail, Pulse Fashion Fix, for Studio 38
One of dancehall's finest acts, Voicemail, will appear live in concert tonight at Studio 38, located at the Pulse Centre at Trafalgar Road, New Kingston.
Craig Jackson and Kevin Blair have proven that the loss of group member Oneil Edwards has done nothing to reduce the impact that this talented group has had on dancehall music over the past decade.
After a string of female performers on Studio 38's popular 'Fridays' party, fashion and concert series, including the likes of Tanya Stephens, Tessanne Chin, Lady Saw and Tami Chynn, it's back to the men tonight and it starts with the cool duo Voicemail.
Rave all night
The Pulse Fashion Fix will be presented at 9:30 p.m., with fans encouraged to rave all night to great dance music provided by the Studio Mix, starting at 7 p.m. The usual Studio 38 'two-for-one' drink specials will be available between 5 and 8 p.m. Concert time is Studioflex time, which is between 11:30 p.m., and 12:30 a.m.
While the group Voicemail has become identified with catchy, upbeat and fun, dancing anthems, this is not the full spectrum of their catalogue, nor is it by any means their limitations.
As Kevin expresses, "we strive to be full-fledged entertainers, entertainment for us is consistent with a variety of things; singing, dancing, acting whatever it takes to keep the audience aware at all times. At the same time our three biggest songs to date are dance songs, so we are going to be associated with that. It's all about entertainment for us at the end of the day."
