After a promising display in the Rotax Mini Max class at the Florida Winter Tour race meet two weeks ago, 10-year-old Joshua Sirgany has once again demonstrated he is ready for the big boys.

The Hillel Academy student, who was recently promoted to the class, was among the class winners at last weekend's Jamaica Karting Association race meet held at the Palisadoes International Raceway, Kingston.

He took the chequered flag in one of the three events and completed the day with two second places. The other two Mini Max races were won by Fraser McConnell and Jonathan Law, who qualified on pole.

St George's College schoolboy and Red Bull-sponsored athlete, Collin Daley Jr, registered a hat-trick of wins to take the top honours in Rotax Junior Class for the day. William Myers and Najee Scott had to settle for the minor places.

Peter 'PJ' Moodie Jr took a double in the Rotax Masters Class, while the other race in the class was won by St Catherine-based businessman, Garth Genus.

The Rotax Mini Max and Junior karters have now turn their attention to next weekend's Florida Winter Tour race meet in Ocala, United States.
