Rosie McIver and Everton Morgan, surprisingly, were the decisive winners in the 2011 annual Stephen Potter Tennis tournament played at The Liguanea Club on Sunday, March 20.

Although Morgan showed flashes of style, McIver was the steady and talented player that brought the pair victory.

Organiser of the annual tournament, Tony Gambrill, who did not play this year, also mismatched the players in the draw.

The other teams consisted of Laura Tanna/Rachel McLarty, Richard Jones/Norman Marshall, Richard Gomes/Oliver Clarke.

Linda Gambrill was most gracious in entertaining all the players post-match.

Professor Marshall Hall presented the coveted Stephen Potter Genie Cup to Morgan/ McIver, but indicated inter alia, in a somewhat lengthy speech, that due to the value of the Genie Cup, the tournament organiser wished to keep the cup at his residence.
