Moving like a jet from the half-mile, the 4-5 favourite, SUPER CENTER, romped home by five lengths in the restricted allowance V for the Henry George Harrison Sr Memorial Cup (non-winners of two) over 1300 metres, at Caymanas Park yesterday.

In the day's co-feature race, for two-year-old debutants, 4-5 favourite BLAST THEM AWAY and 3-1 chance ALL IS MINE were involved in a thrilling dead heat for first place in the Eddie Black Memorial Cup over 600 metres straight.

ALL IS MINE, ridden by champion jockey Omar Walker for trainer Peter McMaster, led at a brisk pace and was only joined by the fast-finishing BLAST THEM AWAY on the line to share the spoils in a field of six two-year-olds, all newcomers.

BLAST THEM AWAY was ridden by in-form Dane Nelson for champion trainer Wayne DaCosta, who saddled three of the declared runners.

SUPER CENTER, meanwhile, picked off rivals rapidly on the outside of the field approaching the half-mile, going by the leaders RAISING ASHLEY and CALL FOR A CAT to win quite easily ahead of 27-1 outsider, MISS CRYSTAL, in a maximum field of 16.

Impressive

A 4-y-o bay gelding by Region Of Merit out of For My Jet, SUPER CENTER is owned by Kid Fresh and trained by Paul Smith.

Another 'Super' also impressed in winning the straight five overnight allowance race in the smart time of 58.3.

SUPER DAVE, installed an even-money favourite with Dane Nelson aboard, led at a fast clip in mid-track to win by 4¹/² lengths from the speedy three-year-old colt, SARAGOSSA (2-1), who chased him relentlessly with title-chasing jockey Dick Cardenas aboard. Nine ran.

The winner, a consistent 6-y-o horse by Royal Minister out of Mississippi Train, is owned and trained by Patrick 'Wacky' Lynch.

On a day when the stewards disqualified fourth-race winner GUAN YU (6-1) for causing interference, two other noteworthy performances were turned in by unlucky Oaks loser and Derby aspirant, RIGHT MARKER, in the 10th race over 1700 metres for native and imported three-year-olds, and the impressive 3-y-o debutant, COMMANDING CHIEF, who romped the seventh race over 1300 metres for maidens by all of 11 lengths in the smart time of 1:19.2.

This was a full three seconds and two-fifth of a second faster than the time returned by the 30-1 outsider AQUILLO (1.22.4) in Division I. Both were ridden by Paul 'Country' Francis.

A chestnut colt by War Marshall out of She Knows Beau, COMMANDING CHIEF is owned by Doks Stable, trained by Everal Francis and was bred by Paul Chen.
