Romain Virgo takes on Europe again
Singer, Romain Virgo left the island last Wednesday for a one-and-a-half month tour of Europe. The tour, which is his second solo European tour, will take him to a number of places including, Barcelona (Spain), Rome (Italy), Portugal, Munster (Germany), Paris (France), Mannheim (Germany), Goteborg (Switzerland) and other European countries.
Virgo, who has managed to build a career while continuing his bachelor's degree at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts, said, thus far, his tour has been going exceptionally well.
"Most of the places I have been to and will be performing at for the rest of the tour, are actual festivals. So that's a great platform to continue to get my music out there and gain new audiences and fans. The reception has been great as well. People are loving the songs and singing along, and always eager for more music. It's a lot of hard work to continuously be on the road - leaving for a new country or a new city right after a performance, but music is something I love. So while I have the platform to do it, I'm gonna give it my all," he said.
The singer has also been leaving quite a musical footprint on several local and international reggae charts. His single,
When he returns to the island, he said there are plans to release even more new singles before he leaves for yet another hectic tour.
