A welcome reception was held at Temple Mead, Jacks Hill, for Dr John M. Perkins, founder of the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA) of the USA, and his team, including co-founder of CCDA, Wayne Gordon. Dr Perkins is an acclaimed author and teacher on issues of Christian community development, leadership and social reconciliation who is committed to bringing change to oppressed communities around the world.

He and his team members were the main presenters at the three-day Christian community development conference, held between June 23 and June 26 at the Christian Life Fellowship, at 21a Gordon Town Road. Here are pictorial highlights of the welcome reception:
