Following a high-energy grand finale show Saturday night, Digicel, the official telecommunications sponsor of 'Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall', has noted that the show continues to unearth positive talents across Jamaica.

Lauding the show as an immense success, Digicel's senior sponsorship manager, Shelly-Ann Curran, said that the company is pleased with the opportunity that the competition presents Jamaicans to unleash their true musical potential.

In an interview, Curran commented; "'Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall' is not just an entertainment show. It's a wholesome package that seeks to empower Jamaicans through music, by harnessing their talents and giving them opportunities to realise their full potential. At Digicel, we fully endorse the move towards individual and cultural development, through the showcasing of our best talents."

Dazzling the final show's stage with avante-garde fashion from Minka Designs and high-energy performances from the top 10 finalists in the competition, the season's closing show line-up highlighted promising talents for the dancehall industry.

Erupting loud cheers of approval and tears of joy from excited patrons at Kia Motors - host of the 2011 Series - Yannique Barrett announced Hurricane and Nioma as the new Magnum King and Queen of Dancehall.

In closing, Curran added that the company would continue to invest in initiatives that boost the development of local talents across the island.

"We see music as a positive vehicle for transformation and, to that end, we will continue to invest in programmes that boost empowerment through music," said Curran. She also highlighted that the highly anticipated 'Digicel Rising Stars' show is another positive vehicle aiding in this transformation.
