The promoters of Appleton Temptation Isle (ATI) are giving back to the community that has embraced them over the past 10 years, through a charity to benefit the White Hall Early Childhood Learning Centre and the Negril Health Centre in the ATI party capital, Negril. Dubbed 'Party With a Purpose', the charity will see donations being made through the sale of ATI raffle tickets, donations and support from corporate entities.

"ATI wants Jamaica to know that even though we are promoters and die-hard partygoers, there is a very serious business, humanitarian and compassionate side to the ATI brand, with the launch of our 'Party With A Purpose' campaign," Absolute Entertainment's ATI promoter, Daren Allwood, said.

Through the purchase of the raffle tickets, at $500 per ticket, partygoers will have the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause, while simultaneously making a downpayment on the purchase of their ATI season bands.

First prize is an all-inclusive stay for two at RIU plus two ATI season bands; second prize is two ATI season bands, while third prize is an ATI season band. However, raffle ticket holders who are not winners can redeem their tickets for the face value of $500 towards the purchase of their ATI season band.

The promotion begins July 1 and will conclude July 20 ahead of the ATI weekend to be held July 29 to August 1. Allwood is encouraging everyone to support the cause, which will incorporate other charities in years to come. "They should support it because it's a great cause for community growth and deve-lopment in education," he said.

Now in their 11th consecutive year, the ATI organisers have always incorporated foreign party flavours with the Jamaican atmosphere over four days.

Title sponsor Appleton is joined by the world's leading cognac Hennessy, Kirov (the Vodka of ATI), Jamaica Tourist Board, Ford, Gleaner, Fame FM and Zip 103 FM. The party line-up is Naked, Pretty in Pink, Colours, Wildsides, Stages, Smudge, Officially Diagnosed and Heatwave.
