Rain ruins play again in Under-19 tourney

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC)
Overnight and morning rain has ruined play for the second successive day in all three fourth-round matches in the WICB Regional Under-19 Cham-pionship here yesterday.
Not a ball was possible at any of the venues as rain continued to cloak the capital Georgetown, keeping outfields under water.
Leaders Jamaica are facing Leeward Islands at Everest while second-place Trinidad & Tobago are down to face third-place Barbados at the Demerara Cricket Club.
Ravaged
At Bourda, hosts Guyana are due to meet reigning champions Windward Islands.
Weather also ravaged the last round of matches though Jamaica and T&T still managed to emerge with full points from their fixtures.
Jamaica lead the standings with 28 points, T&T have 24.3, Barbados are third with 20.3, Guyana follow with 15.8, while the Windwards have mustered 7.3, and Leewards, 6.7.
At the halfway stage of the competition, Windwards' captain Kavem Hodge is the leading batsman with 249 runs - including his unbeaten 155 against Leewards in the previous round - and Trinidad & Tobago leg-spinner Derone Davis has been the most penetrative bowler with 23 wickets.
