CAGC set to tee off today

The Jamaican golf squad is now in Trinidad and Tobago for the 55th annual Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships (CAGC) which starts today at the Millennium Lakes Golf Club.
Bahamas, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, OECS, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands and the US Virgin Islands will compete in the tournament which ends on Saturday.
The team will compete in several categories. The Hoerman Cup team comprises Wesley Brown, Fabian Campbell, Radcliff Knibbs, Jonathan Newnham and Matthew Smith.
The mid amateur team (Ramon Baez Trophy competition) is composed of Montego Bay-based Sean Morris and Keith Stein.
Robert Chin and Gregory Chong make up the senior team, which will compete for the Francis & Steele-Perkins Trophy while the Super Senior team of Dennis Atkinson and Fred Sutherland are expected to do well in the competition.
Jodi Barrow, Leiza Blakeley and Michele Gabay will represent Jamaica in the ladies' completion for the George-Teale Trophy.
The Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships which started in 1957 between Jamaica and Trinidad and Trinidad and Tobago, has been an annual event.
