Beach parties have been a familiar concept in Jamaica for some time now. That concept is not new to Peep TEASE, though the event is new to Jamaican soil.

Prior to its new home at Sugar Man Beach in Portmore, Peep TEASE was held in two other countries.

According to Junior Forbes, the promoter of the international beach event, Peep TEASE was staged in New York; Houston, Texas; Orlando, Florida, and in The Bahamas, and it is now set to establish itself in Jamaica, a place he describes as the party capital of the world.

"I decided to bring it to Jamaica because this is a party island, and the beach concept fits in very well because Jamaica has the perfect climate. America is not too good with the climate," he laughed.

The promoter says that unlike some parties that are concerned with mainly making profits, Peep TEASE is one that gives back to the patrons.

"You can come to Peep TEASE and win a car or BlackBerry. For this staging, we have some of the latest phones to give away, you just don't know what to expect," he said.

Forbes said the name of the event is a broad term, but hinted that the dress code for the women, and the suspense associated with going to a party and getting more than you expect were part of that meaning.

Grand prize giveaway

The promoter also said there would be a grand prize giveaway for a lucky woman who will have to participate in a BlackBerry sound clash.

"I have a device that can connect to the sound system, so random females will get a chance to select songs from their phone in a clash to determine the winner," he said.

Peep TEASE is drink inclusive and patrons have the freedom to bring containers to collect their drink.

"If yuh want to bring your own igloo, that's fine with us, and if you want to take your own liquor, that's fine with us at Peep TEASE, even your freedom is free," he said.

As it relates to security, Forbes told Inside The Party that the Hundred Man Police Station, as well as two other security firms, would be present on the night.

"We place 100 per cent around the security of vehicles and 200 per cent around security of our patrons, so that means that Peep TEASE is 300 per cent secure," he said.

He also added that an ambulance with required medical personnel would be present at the event all night.

To get a 'Peep' into this party, the admission is $1,000 and there is a two-for-one special for ladies all night.

The event is to be staged this Sunday and goes from 2 p.m. to midnight.

"Come to Peep TEASE, it's all about fun prizes and excitement, if you come with stress, before you leave I am confident that you will be stress free," said Forbes.
