The Pick-9 was caught by one lucky punter at Caymanas Park on Wednesday and it starts anew tomorrow with the guaranteed minimum of $1 million.

However, there is a Super-6 carryover of $710,000 from the first Super-6 on Wednesday, this into the first Super-6 from race two to seven. The second Super-6 embraces races four to nine, the Pick-9 all nine races.

In light of the carryover, we look at the first Super-6 which gets under way with a 3-y-o maiden special over the straight five course to be contested by 11 starters. The horses to note are SAGA BOY, who ran well in defeat (third) behind KISSING AUDREY over 1100 metres last Saturday, WIND CRAFT along with SPIRIT WAY and SIMPLY OUTSTANDING.

Good effort

Champion and title-chasing jockey Omar Walker now has the leg over the lightly raced SAGA BOY following that good effort last Saturday, and although not the best drawn on the far rails, is improving and could fight it out successfully.

Preference, however, is for another lightly raced colt, WIND CRAFT, who chased home ABRAM STAR over the course on July 20 and will prove hard to beat, Lasix now administered and working fairly well. Paul 'Country' Francis has the ride.

The speedy MR SKILL (Shane Ellis), who is coming off a recent win, should take a lot of catching in the third race over 1100 metres, but if he puts a foot wrong in the last furlong, ROLEX (Walker up) will be right there to capitalise.

The fourth race over 800 metres straight for native bred two-year-olds looks tailored for the Anthony Nunes-trained I'M ALLWRIGHT with title-chasing Dick Cardenas aboard. The chestnut filly by Region Of Merit out of Oaks winner P.W's Choice was 1¹/² length second to LADY ALLISON on her May 4 debut and has progressed along the right lines since.

ODIN, who made it two in a row in decisive fashion on August 10, should complete the hat-trick at the expense of PRINCE OF ARABIA in the fifth at 1200 metres, while SAINT MARY (knocking at the door) gets the nod over SUNDOWN and WAR HERO in the sixth over 1500 metres.

Then, take the down-in-class GHOST RAPPER to lead home ROYAL BLAST and RULE BY SECRECY in the seventh for the Monica Todd Memorial Cup ($180,000 claiming) over 2000 metres.
