English Racing: Take it to the Max at Haydock

Racing is on at Haydock, Brighton and Chepstow today. There is also simulcast racing from Monmouth Park, Finger Lakes and Saratoga in the USA this afternoon.
Meanwhile, news coming out of Britain is that this year's Epsom Derby winner POUR MOI has been retired from racing after injuring his left front fetlock while training at Chantilly for the upcoming Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp, Paris, on October 2.
Also, former jockey-turned- trainer Walter Swinburn will end his seven-year training career at the end of October. Swinburn, who won the Epsom Derby three times as a jockey, saddled 260 winners since he started out in 2004.

Today at Haydock in the knotty-looking 25th race (handicap), jockey Pail Hanagan's mount, TAKE IT TO THE MAX (11-2), should supplement his recent Goodwood win ahead of topweight BARREN BROOK in a field of 17.
