More 'browning' talk

1. Some people are suggesting a new angle to the 'browning' debate. They claim that so-called brownings have had their share of tribulations in this country, subject to name-calling and verbal abuse and incessant teasing for no other reason than their skin colour. For that matter, those of Chinese and Indian extracts have also been subjects of ridicule because of their ethnicity. So are we really living the motto 'Out of Many One People'?

2. A record number of female candidates are expected to contest the next general elections, according to political watchers who have pointed to several high-profile women who are being wooed by the parties.

Negril ghost town

3. The Negril property, which has been beset by a litany of problems, may soon become a ghost town. Because investors have become so frustrated with maladministration, broken promises, JPS worries, security problems, etc, many are considering selling and moving away from the island. Tourism top brass are aware of the problems but it doesn't seem to matter too much.

Pregnant helper!

4. Here we go again! Another helper drama in upper St Andrew. The live-in helper from the country is pregnant, and since she has been returning home too frequently, suspicion has arisen and fingers are pointing in a certain direction. More real soon.

5. Listen for the Customs drama . It's the kind of thing that some will never report.
