Lorraine and Lester Woodhouse tied the knot on September 20, 1958. Their long union has been sustained because of love for each other, respect and trust. They believe marriage is for keeps as was instilled in them by their parents who were only married once.
The Woodhouses are members of Pentecostal Tabernacle located along Wildman Street in the city and were guests at the Agape Ministry for married couples of the assembly where they gave words of encouragement as well as highlighted principles to live by as a married couple. Lorraine is also a member of the Golden Agers Ministry.
Lester and Lorraine are loved by everyone, are very friendly, easy to talk to and kind. The couple is always telling stories about their younger days, including some of the traditions of their parents. Their family, neighbours, friends and even complete strangers find them thoughtful, helpful, hospitable and willing to share a meal.
