'Country' banned again

Jockey Paul 'Country' Francis, who returns from a two-day suspension tomorrow, has been slapped with a further suspension of four days for careless riding aboard OASIS in the eighth race at Caymanas Park on Wednesday, August 31.
Francis was penalised by the stewards for causing interference to SI PUEDO, UNDAUNTED and BURNING CIELO in the vicinity of the 900-metre point. His suspension commences on Saturday, October 15.
At the same hearing on Tuesday at the Winchester Road offices of the JRC, jockey Paul Ramsay, who rode ONLY BEGOTTEN SUN in the first race on Saturday, October 1, picked up three days for the interference caused to AWESOME MARQUE shortly after the start. His suspension also takes effect on October 15.
Jockey Wesley Henry was slapped with a two-suspension for his ride aboard STRAIGHT A'S in the ninth race on Wednesday, September 28, his mount causing interference to MY GIRL NALA and REDS THOMAS approaching the winning post. His suspension takes effect on Saturday, October 22.
Intimidation
Apprentice Chalrick Budhai, who rode the winning horse FROM IN FRONT in the third race last Saturday, was suspended for four race days for the intimidation and interference to the runner-up NO SMOKING in the last 100 metres when running down off a true line. There was a stewards' inquiry, but FROM IN FRONT was allowed to keep the race.
Jockey Richard Mairs, who rode VANA PROSPECT in the fifth race on October 1, was severely cautioned for the interference caused to CASH TALKS in the vicinity of the half mile.
