Musical minister Carlene Davis has plans to make this Christmas an unforgettable one for students across the island.

A series of shows, dubbed 'Carlene Davis and Friends', will begin at the end of the Christmas school term and is intended to not only provide wholesome entertainment, but to also, "send young people off with the gospel so they can put 'Christ' back into 'Christmas'," she says.

Starting with the Black River High School, on Wednesday, December 14; Kellits, Clarendon on Friday, December 16; Mavis Bank on Saturday, December 17 and finally Yallas on Sunday, December 18, the concert series will include fellow gospel ministers: Jabez, Septimus, Rising Stars finalists along with school choirs and others.

"It's a kingdom invasion and we're looking for Corporate Jamaica to come on board as we seek to win the next generation for Jesus - and there will be no letting up as our intention is to take this into next year," says the singer known for her inspirational songs,Threshing Floor, This Island Needs Jesus, Pierced, Through It All and more.

Davis also lamented the myriad of unwholesome musical entertainment to which students and young children are often exposed.

"For too long, our schools have been offered entertainment that is less than healthy for our country and our system and with Christ's help, this will be the first step to seeing change in our children and schools," says Davis.

The singer also says a new radio offering is in the works which will operate in tandem with the Carlene Davis and Friends school tour. The project which will be called, 'Carlene Davis - A Word and A Song' will also be offered through social media networking sites, the Glory Music Group and others.
