Despite the inclement weather family, friends, customers and their babies turned out for the launch party of the Diaper Closet Pick-Up Centre at Shop 13, in the Pulse Complex, 38A Trafalgar Road.

In the nifty little store space, the proceedings commenced with a prayer from the Reverend Hewitt Holmes who declared a blessing on the business. A diaper bag replica cake, created by the fabulous Sugabuzz Desserts, was ceremoniously cut and shared with glasses of champagne. As attendees mingled, mothers present were treated in the 'Mommy Corner' courtesy of M-Possible Creations, to 'mommy makeovers', while babies and infants were allowed to stamp their footprints on the 'Baby Counter'.

Diaper Closet is a company that has been delivering diapers and baby wipes throughout Kingston and St Catherine, and according to manager Kimari McCalla Shaw, the customer-centred approach to business has spawned this new venture of establishing a pick-up centre, but reassured patrons that the company's trademark diaper and baby wipes delivery service would continue.

According to Mrs McCalla Shaw, "the diaper delivery business will remain the axis of Diaper Closet, continuing to use technological conveniences such as blackberry (pin:24990bc3), email (diapercloset@gmail.com) and, of course, the telephone (775-3524) for orders."
