When Khaotik Events were promoting their most recent party, Sexy In Black, they promised that they would have given part of the proceeds to charity and they did. Khaotik Events recently handed over $25,000 to the Excelsior High School cadet corp.

The CEO of Khaotik Events, Judah Nugent, who was a cadet member during his tenure at Excelsior, says he always felt that the corp needed assistance..

"Attention is rarely directed to the cadet, it was mostly placed on sports such as track and field, football etc. Cadets were always left out," he said.

According to Nugent, the cadet corp has faced challenges of financing its camps and acquiring gadgets that it needs to function effectively, and that is what influenced Khaotik Events to make a donation.

Builds leadership qualities

The former cadet band major says that the cadet plays an important role in high school because it brings out leadership qualities in its members.

"The discipline you get from the cadet helps you get along in the real world, it makes you a better man or woman," he said, making reference to Terrence Williams, head of The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).

According to Nugent, the INDECOM head was also a member of the cadet corps, and his leadership qualities may have been as a result of that.

The promoter also said that Khaotik Events will also add more schools to their charity programme because it is a good feeling to contribute to a good purpose.

"We want to thank everybody who supported our event, Sex In Black, and we will be doing it again on December 3 in the form of a boat ride," he said.

The Khatotik Events team is making preparations for the next leg of the event and is also planning to give to another needy institution.
