1.  Our ambience is unique because customers who dine here are actually floating on a boat in the water. We are the only houseboat in Jamaica and there is also a lot of wildlife around us that adds to the allure of HouseBoat Grill.

2.  Our menu has always focused on the palates of locals and we try and keep it creative and as dynamic as possible, but we are big on our lobster, grilled calamari and the house favourite dessert: the mini chocolate molten cake.

3.  We are a small unit of persons most of whom have been with us since inception 10 years ago. Our manager Ewen Heath, started out as a bartender, and we all have a very fun synergy that has worked well over the years and which translates to customer satisfaction.

4.  There are very few chefs that are restaurant owners in Montego Bay and in Jamaica. And so as a chef and an owner, a lot more detail and love goes into each meal that is prepared.

5. Richard Nurse is executive chef at the restaurant and co-owner, and, for him, cooking provides that type of relief and comfort that he believes does not exist in another profession.
