LIME, NHT in Best Dressed final
Defending champions LIME will oppose National Housing Trust (NHT) in the rescheduled Best Dressed KO 30-over Business House cricket final at Chalmers Avenue tomorrow, starting at 10 a.m.
With Jamalco having won the 35-over KO, only this final and the Reggae Jammin League final (50-over) are left to be decided. But having lost their Reggae Jammin semi-final match against National Water Commission (NWC) at Mona last Sunday, LIME can only hope to win one trophy this season.
Despite the absence of all-rounder Yannick Elliott - on national duties in the Regional Super-50 Series - LIME still boast a strong all-round team. They will look to national player Horace Miller, former West Indies Under-19 representative Andre McCarty, consistent opening batsman Omar Allison, Melbourne's all-rounder Damion Jacobs, and Kensington's all-rounder Ryan Francis to pave the way for victory.
National Housing Trust will miss Nkrumah Bonner, who is currently a member of the Sagicor High Performance team in the Regional Super-50 Series. However, they can look to former Jamaica Under-19 youth player Sachoya Thomas, former national senior player Bevon Brown and Frederick Hermitt, among others, to carry the fight.

Sterling/Phoenix Charity Golf
Sterling/Phoenix Lodge Charity Golf Tournament will tee off at the Constant Spring Golf Club this morning at 7:00. Now an annual feature on the local sports calendar, the tournament will be played as an 18-hole individual Stableford of 7/8 handicap in four flights.
National representative and 2010 winner, Fabian Campbell, is among several top golfers who have registered for the event. Proceeds will benefit several charities, including the Masonic Children's Fund, the Port Royal Scholarship Fund and the Port Royal Basic School.

Melbourne vs NYin Masters cricket final
Melbourne and New York Masters will contest today's final of the Digicel/Jamaica National Michael Holding Masters Cricket competition at Ultimate cricket ground in Discovery Bay, St Ann, starting at 10:30 a.m.
Melbourne defeated St James by 71 runs at Melbourne Oval on Wednesday to advance.
Batting first, Melbourne made 174 all out in 34.2 overs. The competition's only century maker, Delroy Morgan, made 58 with four fours and a six, while getting good support from Junior Ricketts, 37, with three sixes. Bowling for St James, Canute Ferguson claimed 3-20, Lindley Coach 3-52, Chester Sterling 2-19 and Roy Williams 2-27.
In reply, St James were bowled out for 103 off 23.2 overs. Opener Carlton Johnson made 34 and Hekekiah Lawson 29, as Owen Lewin, of Lewin's Hardware fame, took 5-18 off five overs, and Donald Breadwood 2-24.
In the other semi-final, New York Masters defeated Brooklyn Masters by three wickets. Brooklyn Masters scored 193 for nine off 35 overs - Tony Hinds 50, Courtney Elliott 34; Austin Hutchinson (the competition's organiser) taking 4-45 and Derrick Kallicharran 2-29.
New York replied with 194 for seven with 4.3 overs to spare - Errol Chambers 53, Norris Campbell 43, Kallicharran 40; Cliff Roye taking 6-36 in three overs.
The competition also attracted teams from Atlanta, Miami and some local teams.
An exhibition match showcasing local and overseas legends will be played at Ultimate Oval today. The local legends will feature Terrence Corke, John Gordon, Jerry Reid and Owen Allison, while Lawrence 'Yagga' Rowe, Anthony Campbell, Sam Belnavis, Asib Serif and Kallicharan will represent the overseas masters.

The Dip Invitational skittles final tomorrow
Defending champions The Dip will oppose Starliner in the Supreme Ventures/Mandingo-sponsored Dip Invitational nine-a-side skittles final tomorrow at The Dip in Gregory Park, following easy semi-final wins last Sunday.
Starliner defeated Mister C from Spanish Town 5-1 in the first semi-final to advance, while The Dip followed suit with a 5-2 win over Dragon.
The Mandingo-sponsored ladies' singles final will also be played at the venue. This pits Charlene Phoenix from Eastern All-Stars against Starliner's Stacey-Ann Miller, starting at 3 p.m. Action commences at 1 p.m. with the third-place play-off between losing semi-finalists Dragon and Mister C. The team final is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., followed by the presentation of trophies and prizes. The winning team will receive $50,000, second $30,000, and third $15,000. The winner of the women's singles will receive $6,000.
Meanwhile, the Jamaica Skittles Federation Pattex Cup competition, sponsored by Henkel, will be launched on Sunday, November 6, at Junction Entertainment and Sports Centre in St Elizabeth, starting at 1 p.m.

Scotiabank unbeatenin Inter-Bank football
Unbeaten defending champions Scotiabank Centre made it four straight with a 3-1 win over NCB in the Western Sports/JNBS-sponsored Norman Goodison Inter-Bank football competition at Bell Chung Oval last Sunday. A brace from Richard West and a third goal from Akeeli Martin were enough to give Scotiabank maximum 12 points from four matches.
In other matches on Sunday, Pan Caribbean clipped RBC Royal Bank 1-0 at Old Men's Hockey Field with a goal from St Matthew Anglin. In the third match, BOJ beat CIBC/First Caribbean 1-0 with a Kirkson Stephenson goal.
The competition moves into its fifth round tomorrow with Scotia vs CIBC/First Caribbean at NWC playing field, Mona, starting at 2 p.m., JNBS vs NCB in the 4 p.m. match, and BOJ vs Pan Caribbean at Old Men's Hockey Field starting at 3 p.m.

Church League summons teams
The executive committee of the Power of Faith 20/20 Church Cricket League have summoned all teams interested in being part of this season's competition to an urgent meeting on Saturday, November 12, at 7 p.m., at Power of Faith Ministries Multi-purpose Complex. Last season, the league, which has not acquired a sponsor since its genesis in 2004, had 10 teams.

Peak Bottling are five-a-side champions
Peak Bottling beat defending champions Tank-Weld Metals 2-1 in the final of the Justbet-sponsored Business House five-a-side football competition at the NWC playing field, Mona, last Saturday to claim the title.
Tank-Weld Metals drew first blood when Waterhouse Premier League player, Vincent Earle, netted in the 24th minute. But a quick double from Toyland Williams in the 32nd and 34th minutes did the trick for Peak Bottling, as Tank-Weld failed in their bid to win their third consecutive title. Williams was the competition's leading scorer with 16 goals.
In the Division II final, Spanish Grain Stores beat Scotiabank 'B' 2-0, thanks to a brace from Juvainu Benjamin.
Peak Bottling received $60,000 for winning the Division I title, while Tank-Weld picked up $30,000 for second. Spanish Grain Stores collected $40,000 for their Division II success, with Scotia 'B' securing $30,000.

Passagefort lift domino crown
Passagefort United called upon all their experience and reserve to rally against a stubborn Waterford United and prevail 250-240 in an exciting final of the Colin Fagan-sponsored South East St Catherine Domino League, at the member of parliament's constituency office at Independence City Plaza last Sunday.
Waterford led 128-114 at half-time and were up by as much as 20 points midway the second half. But Passagefort rediscovered their preliminary-round form and overhauled the team that looked unbeatable throughout most of the final.

Ken's face off with Washington CC
Group A teams Washington and Ken's Wildflower will face off at the Bridgeport sports ground in one of three games in the Wray and Nephew White Overproof Rum Portmore Cricket League tomorrow morning.
The last time the teams met, Washington upset Ken's Wildflower by two wickets, and Ken's will want to make amends for the only blemish on their record thus far. Opening batsman Junior Stewart has been making runs and he will have to play the anchor role in his team's quest for victory.
Portmore Pines, after a three-week break from the competition, travel to G.C. Foster Sports College - just on the outskirts of Spanish Town - to play against invited team G.C. Foster, who shocked high-riding Colours International last Sunday. Pines have been playing some good cricket as Damion Bryce and teenage batting sensation, Terrence Brown, have piled on the runs against their opponents.
Another interesting game pits defending champs Colours against Portsmouth at the Portsmouth ground. Colours, who have the services of some of Jamaica's talented young and veteran cricketers at their disposal, including Robert Weir, Bryan Latore and former Jamaica batsman Delroy Morgan, want to bounce back against Portsmouth, who suffered a shock loss to G.C. Foster the week before. All matches commence at 11 a.m.

LIME/INSPORTS All-Island Primary football
More than 400 schools will participate in the second staging of the LIME/INSPORTS All-Island Primary Schools football competition. The opening ceremony, dress parade and opening games will be held at the Spanish Town Prison Oval on Friday, November 4, starting at 9 a.m.
The first game will pit Portmore champion Portsmouth Primary against Port Henderson. The opening ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. with guest speaker being Olivia Grange, minister of youth, sports and culture.
The second game will see a matchup between St Catherine champion McAuley and Tredegar Park. McCauley are last year's all-island runners-up school, having been beaten 1-0 in the grand final by Lacovia from St Elizabeth. The parish and Portmore winners will advance to the round of 16. All parish runners-up, including Portmore, will draw for 16th place. The round of 16 is a knockout round.

Old Harbour Bay seek perfect record
Debutants Old Harbour Bay United will hope to continue their winning streak as they travel to the Albion field to play Albion United in a St Catherine FA Division One match tomorrow at 3 p.m. Old Harbour Bay won both of their games and lie third in the standings on six points.
In their last game, Old Harbour Bay scored a 1-0 win over Flamingo and Otis McDonald got that important goal, while Albion have had a dreadful start to this season's campaign and linger at the bottom with a point from three tries. In another game, Benbow United, with a record of one win and a loss from two games, should get the nod over Cumberland, who have lost both of their matches. This game will be played at Cumberland High School.
