Jamaican audiences will receive a special Christmas treat this year when Digicel hosts a free Christmas concert on Thursday November 17, featuring international gospel artiste Tye Tribbett.

The concert, which will be held at the National Stadium parking lot, begins at 6:30 p.m., with gates opening from 4 p.m.

Other performances will include popular local artistes such as Digicel brand ambassador gospel artiste Jermaine Edwards, 2007 Digicel Rising Stars winner Romain Virgo, 2011 top-three Digicel Rising Stars - Tash, Latty J and Delando Colley, and the dynamic music minister, Carlene Davis.

Shelly-Ann Curran, senior sponsorship manager, Digicel Jamaica, explained, "In keeping with the spirit and vibrancy of the holiday season, Digicel is pleased to be hosting this free Christmas concert. This is an added opportunity for us to bring families together in the spirit of love and family entertainment as we say thank you to our customers this holiday season. As the excitement mounts around the stellar line-up that we have planned, especially our announcement of the headline act, gospel singer, songwriter and producer Tye Tribbett, we are really anticipating a great turn out and an electrifying show."

Tickets for the concert will be available in select Digi-Centres islandwide as of Friday. Patrons will be able to view the Digicel Facebook fan page at www.Facebook.com/digiceljamaicafan to find the most convenient location.

"This concert is family entertainment at its best. We want to start the Christmas season off right, with positive and uplifting messages. We are encouraging families to come out and share in this evening as we have a great show planned." Curran said.
