Hitting nail on the head

Thank you so much for a comfortable read in Part One of your analysis in The Sunday Gleaner. Complex solutions made almost simple is how I have judged your article. I am particular hopeful that all of us with an ounce of energy, irrespective of who forms the next government, will take serious note.

The notion of clustering tourism, agriculture and manufacturing, I would agree, presents phenomenal opportunities. The amassing of so much capital to create the resort towns, in the first place, speaks volumes to the unplanned magnet of tourism.

Your comments about our food are music to my ears. Hopefully, our planners will take note and appreciate an economy that can produce a healthy meal for US$2.50 is a force to be reckoned with. We should be designing economic models for our restaurants, using our foods. Manufacturing opportunities abound, particularly when married to our culture.

Looking forward to Part Two.
