Rubbish pile-up courting disaster

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I reside at Cadot Close, off Red Hills Road, in a little St Andrew community that has apparently been forgotten, as the garbage collector has only passed through once since the beginning of the new year.

This situation is untenable, as every morning we awake to garbage strewn all over the street as each resident's receptacle is filled to capacity, and there is simply nowhere else to put the rubbish out of the way of the marauding dogs.

We urgently need some attention paid to this very important service, as we are courting the outbreak of some disease or other.

This is a disgrace. Every morning I pass this pile of filth on my way to work on Knutsford Blvd, New Kingston.

This is so embarrassing. Where is the National Solid Waste Management Authority?
