An Eastern flair

The theme of his party was: to live, to love, to forget time. And to do that, some good food is a necessity. When it came to the food for Sameer Younis' 70th birthday party last Saturday, it was a collaborative and family affair.
Flavours of the East permeated through every dish from the Oriental and Lebanese stations. Overseeing the whole process was caterer extraordinaire, Lorraine Fung. While she had full grips on the Oriental station, Chez Maria catered some classic dishes on the Lebanese station.
But whatever your choice, they were all mouth-watering. Dishes ranged from: baba ghanouj, tabouleh, spicy noodles
When it came to mouth-watering desserts, that was a family affair and Tamara Younis had it covered. The sinfully delightful treats took her three days to create and ranged from mini velvet cakes, white chocolate bread pudding and, knowing her father's love for sweet things, a chocolate birthday cake and a lychee one for her brother Jason, who celebrated his birthday a few days earlier.
