Audi Q3 introduced in Kingston
The Audi Q3 was launched at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, New Kingston, last week, those in attendance getting a look at the compact vehicle.
Marketing manager for ATL Automotives, Judith Denton, explained that the compact crossover vehicle targets young professionals and the small family.
"The Audi Q3 has as its target audience those who are leaving the nest, those young professionals, and it's a family vehicle," Denton said. She also pointed to the Audi brand's performance in Jamaica. "2011 was a record year, with year-end sales totalling 123. As of the end of August 2012, we sold 125 units," explained Denton.
The Audi Q3 comes available with a 2.0 TFSI engine with a power output of 211 horsepower (or 155 KW), has Quattro all-wheel drive and is equipped with the seven-speed S tronic gear box and Audi Drive Select with four programmes.
Other highlights include the concert audio system and a comprehensive package of restraint systems. The driver-assistance system redefines the compact SUV class. The park-assist system manoeuvres the vehicles into tight spots independently, while beeping loudly to alert the driver of impending danger.
The Q3 will retail for $5.975 million.
