Organic dining for all
It's all about real authentic Jamaican cuisine and getting value for money. That's what's on at Café What's On for this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week.
Incorporating more organically grown vegetables in their dishes, think peppered shrimp, jerked chicken wrap and jerked pork patty melt. Think juicy morsels of jerked pork seasoned to perfection, sweet peppers smothered in cheese.
Jamaicans love their jerked and their jerk chicken wrap infused with Sue Couch's special signature home-made jerk seasoning which she is known for, makes it stand apart from any other with explosive flavours. This may be one of the reasons why it's one of their most popular.
And who says eating healthy can't be delicious? Their extensive 24-item salad bar is available at one flat rate and not by weight as at some other eateries. They are cutting down on the popular side dish of French fries, and loading up on flavour.
Though in the Nyam and Scam category, leaving the creative atmosphere with the walls adorned with masterpieces by some of Jamaica's best known artists may be the last thing on your mind.
