After two days of intensive competition, the team from Couples Tower Isle and Couples Sans Souci reigned supreme, taking home gold, silver and bronze.

The resort achieved the feat in the pastry, bartending and culinary skills category at the annual Taste of Jamaica competition, held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre on October 27 and 28. The event was organised by the Culinary Federation of Jamaica.

In the seafood competition, Craig Wilson walked away with a bronze medal, and the Chef of the Year bronze medal went to André Simpson. In the pastry section, there was a clean sweep of gold, silver and bronze medals. Errol Sewell, who represented Couples Tower Isle, placed third; Couples Sans Souci's Shekera Cassie second; and Teresa Clarke took home the gold medal in addition to the Pastry Chef of the Year award, separated by only one point.

The talented culinary team was comprised of chefs Dwight Morris - senior sous chef, André Simpson - junior sous chef, Craig Wilson, Andrae Sanchez, Akeema McNish, Jovan Rattigan and bartender Andrew Rodney. The pastry team was comprised of Teresa Clarke, Shekera Cassie and Errol Sewell.
