Western Bureau:Incorporating a chic setting in an airport while offering an artistic cultural showcase is the signature of Club MoBay at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

The VIP departure lounge is focused on enhancing the travel experience for locals and tourists who access their service. The lounge emanates a tropical elegance that is nothing short of brilliant on how art, history and modern design elements can all coexist and complement each other.

The glass stair railing with metal handrails atop hardwood flooring offers an open and inviting atmosphere that allows guests to see a section of the tarmac as they walk towards the lounge. A stone-tile wall boasts the photos of well-known individuals - local and international celebrities - who have enjoyed the unique ambience that the lounge offers.

No other location in Montego Bay boasts such an extensive collection of Jamaica's history and culture than what is provided at the lounge. Their presentation reveals the thought and effort that was put into the design plans to make the experience an authentic journey that gets more stimulating as you roam the corridors.

Hanging from a textured beige wall with mahogany-coloured wood trimming, our national heroes, past prime ministers and governors general are highlighted in photographs and interesting facts.

Artistic eye-catching pieces from renowned Jamaican sculptor Gene Pearson and artist Nakazzi Hutchinson infuse modern appeal that is in line with their theme while adding variation to what the area seeks to offer the public. Even the contemporary island-inspired furniture and fixtures within the lounge encourage relaxation beyond the measure of what a typical airport scene entails.

No wall at Club MoBay's VIP lounge is empty, which is a concept owners David Hall and Carlos Moleon planned meticulously as they display a plethora of photos and text of Jamaica's landscape, people, accomplishments in sports and music and indigenous food and plants, which adds perspective to the way of life of Jamaicans.

Earth-toned colours coupled with dramatic ceiling designs speak to the international flair the lounge takes on while underscoring the character of how well each detail speaks to someone who takes the plunge to have the experience.

The fast-track access through security and immigration, complimentary snacks, fruits, beverages, free WiFi, and a business centre are among several other amenities that make Club MoBay a gateway to luxury.
