Do you agree with the JLP that the Tivoli Gardens commission of enquiry is a waste of time?
Give the millions that is going to pay to the people [at the enquiry to those] who lost houses and family members and stop wasting taxpayer's money, with no result forthcoming. Waste of time.
- Maureen Miles
They would say it's a waste of time because it was under their leadership when it happened. (Shake my head).
- Kerry-Ann Di'Unstoppble
All of the enquiries to date have been a waste of time and a waste of taxpayers' money because 3/4 of the time the main witnesses "can't recall". I do believe that the JLP thinks it's a waste of time because it was done under their leadership; but then again, why have it when nothing will come out of it?
- Colleen Graham
It is the rich who is going to benefit. Will the persons in the enquiry be volunteering their time? If so, go ahead with the enquiry. If not, give the people of Tivoli the funds.
- Rosemarie Campbell
If at the end of it no one will go to prison for wrongdoing or is charged for murder, it makes no sense, and it would be a waste of time and money. That money could buy food and stuff for a lot of people in the country who are suffering. People should stop using JLP and PNP to define everything; most of them are just stupid and 'wholehearted' to politics.

I'm a bit taken aback by the 'young and bright' JLP leader Andrew Holness' explanation. Really? I watched the JLP push for the FINSAC enquiry, which brings justice for the rich, but for the black poor, they call it a waste of time?
- Jayson Shaw
It is not a waste of time; however, before we have another enquiry there needs to be legislative changes which give them (commissions) more teeth. A Tivoli enquiry is not an 'if' but it's a 'must' and 'when'.
- Peta-Ann Heat-Daley
All the enquiries that have been held so far have proven to be a waste of well-needed resources for the health and education sectors. The only persons who benefit are the commissioners and lawyers, and the public foots the bill.
