On Tuesday evening, National Commercial Bank (NCB) staged yet another Auto Dealers' Awards Ceremony at the Hope Botanical Gardens, St Andrew. Both new and used-car dealers, as well as individual sales representatives, walked away with a number of awards.

However, it was Toyota Jamaica and Crichton Automotives that came out as the top new- and used-car dealerships, respectively.

The function was aptly themed 'Fast and the Furious', following on the box office hit film Fast and the Furious 6, released on May 24, which has grossed approximately US$696 million worldwide so far.

Auto Channel garnered a substantial number of the used-car dealer awards. Audrianna Smith won Top Used Car Dealer Sales Representative for 2011-2012, with second place going to Judith Thompson and third place being awarded to Winston McFarlane. Auto Channel was also awarded second place for the dealership with the highest successful NCB auto-loan referrals. Third place went to Bess for Less Car Mart Limited.

Rana Abid Mehmood of Carland Investments Limited took Most Improved Used Car Dealer Sales Representative, while JE and S. Auto Brokers Limited took the award for the Most Improved Used Car Dealer for 2011-2012.

In addition to being awarded the Top Used-car Dealer for 2011-2012, Crichton Automotive Limited was also presented with a gas voucher for $30,000, courtesy of Rubis Energy, Jamaica's Shell licencee.

TOP SALES REP (NEW CAR)

In the new-car dealer segment, the Top Car-sales Representative for 2010-2011 went to Toyota Jamaica's Dorothy Quest-Buchanan, with second place going to Andrea Drummond-Hart of ATL Motors. Third place went to David Hastings of ATL AutoHaus and Britannia Motors Limited. Key Motors Limited's Tamoya Chen won the Most Improved New Car Dealer Sales Representative, and Key also received the award for Most Improved New Car Dealership, 2011-2012.

Presentations were also made to ATL AutoHaus and Britannia Motors, which placed third for having the highest NCB auto-loan referrals, while Stewarts Auto Sales Limited received second place.

First place was awarded to Toyota Jamaica for Top New Car Dealer for 2011-2012, the organisation also getting a $30,000 gas voucher courtesy of Rubis Energy Jamaica.

NCB started the awards with the goal of maintaining an enduring partnership with new- and used-car auto dealers.
