Excitement ensued as many came out in their numbers to participate in one of the most highly anticipated culinary showcases to emerge out of Jamaica.

KGN Kitchen Night Market, which took place two Saturdays ago, provided a wide variety of foods and juices that excited and delighted the taste buds.

With bands on hands and the recent publication of KGN Kitchen Magazine in their grasps, families and friends made their way into the grand venue of Hope Gardens and went on a scavenger hunt seeking out the most mouth-watering offerings. From a variety of meats to vegetarian offerings, pastas to sweet treats, patrons got busy indulging in all the deliciousness of each tent or booth.

Popular booths

Among the popular booths which had people coming back for more was Caribbean Producers Jamaica, who served both scrumptious dishes and libations. Best Dressed Chicken saw long lines, with the food moguls supplying all with an array of chicken choices. They also provided a seating area for those who wanted to rest their weary legs or who got busy chowing down.

Desserts could not be left out, with Chocolate Dreams having a chocolate fountain display for customers who gave into their guilty pleasures.

While a few dressed for the park, others got dolled up for the occasion. All were, however, seen walking about, socialising with those who were in their company or others they encountered on their journey. Fly Jamaica captured the moment by providing a photo op for patrons, who boarded the Fly Jamaica Plane, with a cut out at the front to accommodate their happy faces.

And for those who thought they would be missing out on the cricket finals, they were caught in a deadlock with a projector screen showing the match between the Jamaica Tallawahs and Guyana Amazon Warriors live. Shouts of sheer jubilation erupted as the multitude witnessed the Tallawahs beating the Warriors to become the ultimate champions of the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 competition.
