Endless summer time elixirs - Keep the spirit of the season alive with these quick and easy concoctions
Summer may have come to a close but Sandals Royal Caribbean veteran bartender, Albert Smith, and his protégé Cleaveland Brown are determined to keep the spirits high, and the libations flowing well into September and beyond. In their latest concoctions, they are being shy with the heavy liquor, something you should try for that wild weekend rendezvous that starts at dawn and marathons into midnight, and they're dishing copious amounts of lime and pineapple juice, perfect for extra refreshment. And now you can do it, too, with one of their latest faves.
Golden Sunrise
Ingredients:
4 drops of Angostura (Aromatic) Bitters
1 1/2oz vodka
1/2oz Cherry Brandy
4oz pineapple juice
Splash of lime juice
Method:
In a high ball glass add ice. Add in all ingredients. Top off with a dash of Coruba Rum. Garnish with pineapple and orange wedge and serve.
Limeaqua
1 1/2oz. Appleton Special
1/2oz Amaretto Liqueur
1/2oz Triple Sec
4oz pineapple juice
Method:
In a Poco Grande glass place 2 lime wedges on a bamboo skewer. Add ice. Add in all ingredients. Pour on dash of Blue Curacao around top. Serve.
