Last Friday night, the luxurious Coyaba Beach Resort and Spa in Montego Bay hosted the fourth annual fundraising dinner for the Good Shepherd Foundation.

The event, hosted by Kevin and Joanne Robertson, Patrick and Katrin Casserly, Denni and Veena Chandiram, and Ray and Anne Therrien, attracted about 112 guests who came out to show their support for the charity, which provides health care and other services for the needy.

Burchell McPherson, the new Roman Catholic bishop of Montego Bay, thanked guests for their support and highlighted the importance of giving to those in need.

"My passion is to serve the poor ... . That is my calling. I personally believe we should not only reach out to those we see or those who can give us something, but we should look to help those who have nothing to give back," noted McPherson.

Guests were well rewarded for their generosity by an delectable three-course dinner buffet that included a host of entrées such as beef teriyaki, sweet and sour shrimp, peppermint roasted lamb, and grilled snapper.

These came with a host of accompaniments and were followed by a mouth-wateringdessert spread.
