Leaf-wrapped pepper fish at Mystic India
Montegonians can anticipate a truly gastronomical experience during this year's Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, which debuts the Asian eatery, Mystic India, located at the Whitter Village in Ironshore, Montego Bay.
Head chef, Jagdamba Shreyal, who has been cooking for over 35 years, has created a delectable leaf-wrapped pepper fish, garnished with seasonal vegetables and served with their special peanut butter sauce.
The dish, which is also a new menu item, will be launched during Restaurant Week, and he is expecting diners to be delighted.
"The preparation of the leaf-wrapped pepper fish bears a special fusion of Indian and Caribbean cuisine. We are expecting diners to love it as it is specially seasoned to be deliciously flavourful to all palates," explains Shreyal.
A specially cooked tandoori lobster, served with a mint sauce, will also be among Mystic India's specialties for Restaurant Week.
Along with their exciting menu offerings, Mystic India also has a wine cellar which stocks an impressive collection of organic and non-organic wines.
In addition, dining is offered in air-conditioned comfort where a personable, yet professional service puts this restaurant a head above the rest.
