The CSA signs MOU to offer master's degree in Port and Marine Management
The Caribbean Shipping Association signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of the West Indies' St Augustine's Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, at the opening of the association's 43rd Annual General Meeting, Conference and Exhibition at the Sheraton Panama Hotel in Panama City, Panama, on October 7. The MOU will see the introduction of a master's degree online programme in Port and Marine Management.
The programme is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the key elements and trends in the global maritime and port-management industry. Courses include Maritime Law, Shipping Management and Maritime Logistics Management, and will incorporate instruction by international faculty, as well as cutting-edge simulations and other learning methodologies.
Students will also develop specialised management, leadership and technical skills, enabling them to compete and oversee operations in the global maritime industry.
The MOU also offers shipping executives, middle managers and technical officers two scholarship opportunities to pursue the new graduate degree.
